Definition

In one place the article says this is the land between the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, but then goes on to talk about states like Nebraska and Kansas which by definition are west of the Missouri! I've put the coordinates as far west as I can reasonably make them whilst will on the left bank of the Missouri, maybe someone else can tweak them if need be.
