Fair use rationale for Image:EricBurdonMickeyGallagher.jpg

[edit]

Image:EricBurdonMickeyGallagher.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Mick or Mickey?

[edit]

I noticed this article was moved; I am fairly sure that Mickey was always the name used during his Clash appearances; see here for example. Any thoughts on how the article should be named? --John (talk) 15:20, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I guess Mickey. Mick might be his birthname, but WP's policy is naming articles on persons on their most well-known name. Like Mickey and not Mick. --Soetermans (talk) 17:41, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please let him be listed as Mick Gallagher, 1. The BMI list him as Mick Gallagher, no entry for Mickey http://repertoire.bmi.com/ 2. The Blockheads (his current band!!!) list him as Mick, http://www.theblockheads.com/biog.php?title=Mick+Gallagher 3. his management also http://www.rockartistmanagement.com/ -- his session work for the clash is now 30 years ago. His real name is *Michael* of course. (E-Kartoffel (talk) 17:43, 28 March 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Orphaned references in Mick Gallagher

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Mick Gallagher's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Blockheads official website":

  • From The Blockheads: "Blockheads official website". Theblockheads.com. Retrieved 2009-12-30.
  • From Ian Dury: "Blockheads official website". Theblockheads.com. Retrieved 30 December 2009.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 14:25, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
