I found two 21st century books about political science that describe the Michigan Five Fluke Freshmen using that term. The first is The Fierce Urgency of Now: Lyndon Johnson, Congress, and the Battle for the Great Society and the second is Nixon in New York: How Wall Street Helped Richard Nixon Win the White House.
