Local Significance
[edit]Michelle Kelly has made a significant impact on Northwest Queens, New York. Her contributions are unique and should be recognized. In the 2nd week of June, she was the subject of an extensive profile in New York's daily newspaper Metro. Most of the information in this article was from that profile, which is unavailable online.
Potential Significance
[edit]Michelle Kelly's profile is rising in her neighborhood and her industry. There is buzz around Ditmars Blvd of a very real challenge to Peter Villone's City Council seat. Since this remains a rumor, it should not be included in the main page until she announces her official candidacy, which is expected to be early in 2008.

Notability
[edit]Please read Wikipedia:Notability (people) for information on what wikipedia considers notable. Also Wikipedia is not a crystal ball so rumors about her candidacy are irrelevant. Improbcat 19:12, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- Improbcat, please read Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Additional criteria: amateur athletes who compete at the highest level of their sport are considered notable, especially if they win a medal in said sport. Olympians are therefore always notable, having acheived in their sport at an amateur level to reach an international comeptition. - CobaltBlueTony 14:15, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
