Info to be checked

I removed the following statements from the article as they were not cited or needed clarification -AngusWOOF (talk) 01:21, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • His grandmother, a Yaqui Indian whose tribe was persecuted by the Mexican government.
  • He wrote about his grandfather in the essay “Abuelo” published in John Preston’s 1992 anthology, A Member of the Family: Gay Men Write About Their Families.

(ref name="vlex.com") (What did he write about him? How does he describe his grandfather.)

  • His maternal grandparents were the most important influence of his childhood. (not in vlex source)
  • He has been a frequent speaker and writer on the need to open the legal profession to traditionally underrepresented groups including people of color, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people, women and people with disabilities.(ref name="ebar.com"/) (ebar.com source does not say he was a frequent speaker, does not mention disabilities)

More info needed

[edit]

The article could use more details, especially on The Children of Eve / The City of Palaces books as they are releasing soon. Also any critical acclaim on the Henry Rios novels besides just the Lambda Literary Award? More reception from the Latino community? Is he still practicing law at the California Supreme Court even after Carlos Moreno retired? More details are needed on his early life and related to the Further reading section. -AngusWOOF (talk) 02:50, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
