Possible promotional editing

Reverted these edits.[1]. Because of a long history of paid and promotional editing on this article, it would be better to discuss changes which de-emphasize the criminal record first. Thanks. John Nagle (talk) 20:15, 9 February 2017 (UTC) Since your edits, and the paid editing, indeed the article about the ex-convict has been "de-emphasized". Perhaps the intro should be prioritised with public record over business record? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 126.161.166.182 (talk) 19:44, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

Inaccurate Change

My name is Larry Weisenberg and I represent Michael Milken. On September 29, references to Milken’s philanthropy and charitable giving were removed from the lead paragraph. No substantiation was cited, just a stated POV. Just as one can agree that Milken’s legal problems should be part of the lead paragraph, it’s disingenuous to suggest that his four decades of demonstrated philanthropy are not a substantial part of his legacy. There is a considerable wealth of published articles over the past several decades detailing his charitable work, his influence on medical research and public health, and his commitment to improving education.

I’d like to recommend returning to the version before the September 29 edit: Michael Robert Milken (born July 4, 1946) is an American former financier and philanthropist. He is noted for his role in the development of the market for high-yield bonds ("junk bonds"),[2] for his conviction following a guilty plea on felony charges for violating U.S. securities laws, and for his charitable giving. Thank you.LarryWeisenberg (talk) 00:03, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

As noted above, I'm returning the lead paragraph to the 9/29/17 version that includes references to Milken's philanthropy and charitable giving, which reflects a balanced approach to his legacy.LarryWeisenberg (talk) 21:04, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

My name is Larry Weisenberg and I represent Michael Milken. Once again, someone has removed the reference to Milken's charitable giving in the lead paragraph and replaced accurate language (securities violations) with charges for which he was not guilty (racketeering). You can read more about the reasoning behind this above. I'm returning the lead paragraph to the June 23, 2018 version. Thank you.LarryWeisenberg (talk) 23:51, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

My name is Larry Weisenberg and I represent Mike Milken. Once again, someone has edited the lead paragraph of this entry that is designed to bring a biased, negative POV; in addition it is redundant. The paragraph already states Mr. Milken's conviction following a guilty plea on felony charges. There is no reason to added that he's a convicted felon. I am returning the lead paragraph to the August 2, 2018 version. Thank you. LarryWeisenberg (talk) 20:15, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
