Notability

[edit]

How notable is this guy? This page seems too long for a guy who self-publishes or who only publishes with really small presses. Shouldn't this be trimmed down or deleted? 76.69.141.109 (talk) 14:42, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think it was established that this author is not a self publisher and has books from several major publishers. James65.pike (talk) 15:43, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just because an autor has been published doesn't mean he/she is notable enough for a page. That being said, the page lists way more titles then needed (some of them are from obscure presses) and as noted in the tag, a clean-up is needed. So I trimmed away non-notable awards and some of the books that have not been published by a major house. It's a start.Jimsteele9999 (talk) 19:06, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is obviously a self written article. The two major contributors; Worfpoe, and anon 8.107.50.81, are both Michael Hemmingson. Worfpoe is a well known alias of Mr. Hemmingson which he himself acknowledges is the combination of the names of two of his pets. The Worfpoe account has been banned. Additionally, a search of the anon account using the ip 8.107.50.81 shows that it has only edited subjects relating to Mr. Hemmingson. This article is autobiographical and therefore presents a conflict of interest and should be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.234.40.32 (talk) 02:40, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is not a self written article. This issue came up several months ago and several people, including me, add to it and modified it. Even if it was originally self written, which I doubt, it isn't now. Those tags on the article are obsolete. I will try and remove them.James65.pike (talk) 19:59, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
