The erroneous date has been in the article long enough to have clogged any search results quite thoroughly, but there are several reliable outside sources confirming the date of 4 October: Telegraph, Times, New York Times (needs login). I suspect the date of 9 August comes from a misreading of the date on the Telegraph obituary; 08/10/2004 means, to a British publisher, 8 October, 2004 (a Friday)—but to an American or, apparently, a Polish reader, it means 10 August, 2004 (a Tuesday). —Charles P.(Mirv) 21:54, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Only 62 of his "over 150 books" are listed here. A perusal of Amazon.com does not really reveal any more. Did he really publish that many?? 75.136.228.239 (talk) 17:32, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
