- I can't access The Times obituary but the navy itself says "Sunday night" (that article was published on 8 November; the preceding Sunday was the 6th). The Guardian says the 6th, Parliament says the 6th, The Telegraph says the 6th. As far as Wikipedia is concerned, it's the 6th.
