Article cleanup proposal

I propose that we clean up all pre-Meyer content to other articles (e.g. STX Finland, Perno Shipyard) and leave just one chapter about yard history until 2014 when the new company was established. This applies to both article body and infobox. Tupsumato (talk) 19:01, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There are just a couple of sentences about the Perno yard. As Meyer Turku refers to the city's shipbuilding heritage on their logo, I find it appropriate to have a short description about the Turku shipbuilding history including links to all the relevant articles; moreover, there is no other article with a such overview and I don't know into which context it would suit better. On the other hand, the latter half of the history section could be perhaps shortened. --Gwafton (talk) 20:25, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Necoleap

Meyer Turku is working on the Neoleap-Project.

As times change, so do cruise ships change and evolve. We're moving towards more sustainable shipbuilding through alternative fuels, energy saving technologies and sustainable building materials. The future of cruise ship concept innovations lies in the creation of lighter and more compact ships, improving public space utilization and introducing innovative operational options. MEYER, KONE, Kudos Dsign, SeaKing Inc., Åbo Akademi University, Aalto University and PBI Research Institute joined forces in the NavisSpace co-innovation project to develop new and open collaboration models. The aim was to accelerate research and design efforts focused on making ships more sustainable and improving the passenger experience.
