Pueblonians vs Puebloans

[edit]

This looks like the only article on wikipedia that uses "Pueblonians". Should it just be "Puebloans" throughout? Faolin42 (talk) 23:30, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, "Puebloans" or even "Pueblo" is more correct. 165.83.47.253 (talk) 20:39, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mesa Verde National Park License

[edit]

The state of Colorado approved a vehicle license plate to represent Mesa Verde National Park in 2019. The proceeds made from that license plate go directly to benefit the park. Would this article be appropriate to display the history, legislation, picture of the plate, and significance of the plate on this article? Or would be it be more appropriate to make a separate article for the license plate information? StandardPolicy (talk) 05:57, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Ruins"

[edit]

Mesa Verde National Park and the National Park Service are discouraging the use of the word "ruins" because modern Pueblo people actively use archeological sites and Kivas for prayer and ceremonies. Better words might include "cliff dwellings" or "archeological sites". Cjwilson2021 (talk) 22:05, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
