Is this an encyclopedic article, or should it just be sent over to Wiktionary? Noclevername 03:42, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnomathematics

[edit]

I pulled this sentence from the article because I'm not sure how to integrate it, although I will be thinking about it. Have to read the article. Meanwhile, if anyone's listening out there, feel free, of course, to just go ahead and do something with it. Alf.laylah.wa.laylah (talk) 20:49, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mentifacts represent the ideas and beliefs of a culture, for example religion, language or law. Mentifacts are referred to in the study of ethnomathematics by Ubiratan D'Ambrosio, meaning "the results of intellectual action which do not materialize, such as idea, concepts, theories, reflections and thoughts."
