Created by taking material from Menstrual hygiene day
[edit]I have created this article by taking material from Menstrual hygiene day, which I had created about two years ago but which had now become a mixture of things, i.e. it was about MHM and about MH Day. Now it's better. EMsmile (talk) 02:22, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- EMsmile if content was copied from other wikipedia articles, please indicate that by using {{copied}} or otherwise comply with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia to preserve proper history and attribution of that text. Thank you. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 02:38, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- not sure how to do it differently next time - I had moved (not copied) some content from another article to here and had explained that in the edit histories and here on the talk page. I'll dive into the links that you provided to learn more about this but do you still want me to make any amends at this stage? If so, how? EMsmile (talk) 03:43, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- Any time you take content from one Wikipedia article to another, whether it is a copy or a move, you should either
- 1) include in the edit summery something very close to "Content copied from Example article see history there for attribution", being sure to include a link to the source article; or
- 2) place {{copied}} on the talk page of the destination article, and preferably also on the talk page of the source article, filling out the parameters to indicate the date and edit involved; or
- 3) do both.
- Personally I favor method 2, but any of the three are acceptable. Strictly speaking, failure to do this makes the destination article a copyright infringement subject to deletion, although an admin is not usually that drastic. If you want to use method 2 or 3, but have problems understanding how to sue {{copied}}, place a note here saying what the source article was, and the exact timestamp of the edit where the content was added to this article, and ping me, and I will do the template. I can't do it without that info.
- Is that clearer, EMsmile? DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 04:50, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- Method 1 can be done after the fact with a dummy edit. In that case be sure to include a date and time in the edit summary. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs

More content for the section on approaches for improvements
[edit]I would like to add more content in the section on approaches for improvements but am a bit short on time today. I'll come back to this later or maybe someone can help? We can make use of the papers in this journal issue from 2015: https://www.developmentbookshelf.com/toc/wl/34/1 and also from this journal in 2018: https://sanitationupdates.blog/2018/01/15/menstrual-hygiene-management-in-humanitarian-situations/ EMsmile (talk) 04:54, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
