Brooks update
[edit]This election continues to throw surprises: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-05-14/tasmanian-liberal-adam-brooks-braddon-future/100139460. Felix Ellis will be the replacement but we need to wait for the recount before formally adding it. Adam Brooks was included on declaration of candidates elected - https://www.tec.tas.gov.au/House_of_Assembly_Elections/StateElection2021/HAElection21CandidatesElected.html - but note the statement in the news story above happened before the official ceremony (at 11am today - 15 minutes after I'm writing this comment). I'm wondering if this counts as continuous service for Ellis? Or do we list him as "(2020-2021, 2021-)" ? -- Chuq (talk) 00:46, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- I would list it as "2020–2021, 2021–present" as the re-election of Ellis will begin from the recount which could be some time away (might be quicker than usual as presumably TEC doesn't have to confirm if the candidates are still interested in being eligible for election!) --Canley (talk) 03:36, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
