Age calculation discrepancy

[edit]

The birth year given for the subject is 1969, but this seems inconsistent with other dates and details. Under the 'filmography' section she is listed in a 1978 film as a character named "Nude Model", at which time she would have been a 8-9 year old child. Similarly, her casting and songwriting in the movie 'Rock and Rule' would have transpired as an 11-12 year old. Seems odd, perhaps a typo? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.166.245.14 (talk) 16:20, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Move. Clear consensus that this is the common name. Cúchullain t/c 18:37, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Melleny BrownMelleny Melody – The current entry is for the name the artist was formerly known as and not the name she is known by today. If Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr can be redirected to Mohammad Ali, Melleny Brown should redirect to Melleny Melody. Buddroyce (talk) 21:27, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

* The artists own LinkedIn page https://ca.linkedin.com/in/mellenymelody as well as her own personal website http://mellenymelody.com/ both refer to herself as Melleny Melody and not Melleny Brown. The site hasn't changed a whole lot since 2004 so it's not like this was an overnight decision to change the commonname she wishes to be known as. https://web.archive.org/web/20040501000000*/http://mellenymelody.com/ Buddroyce (talk) 05:33, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There's more if needed. I'll see if I can find more recent sources Buddroyce (talk) 02:56, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the sources provided I now support this move. As a side note, I will be notifying Buddroyce about an apparent conflict of interest in this article. Not-withstanding, I still support the move. Tiggerjay (talk) 16:57, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
