Appearance
[edit]She was fantastic on her recent appearance on the show, she seems to have a timeless beauty. It would be great if she could return to acting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scottwebbok (talk • contribs) 16:01, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Removing this.
[edit]I am removing the following-Reeves was allegedly involved in an affair with her Days co-star Jason Brooks and was caught by her husband Scott Reeves. Unless there is a absolute source for that, you cannot state that. It is slanderous. That's why there are such strict standards for BLPs.--98.87.91.193 (talk) 23:45, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
I also removed that Reeves supports Chick-Fil-A. Her supposed tweet said-Chick-Fil-A today, loved every bite. Land of the free, home of the brave.Love that we all appreciate free speech right? She is not stating she supports Chick-fil-A, she is stating she supports free speech. Plus the source given was a gossip site and not a reputable source named Buzzfeed dot com. The site describes itself as -Having the hottest, most social content on the web, we feature breaking buzz, and the type of social content that you'd like to pass along to your friends. Melissa Reeves no longer has a twitter account. She cancelled it.--98.87.91.193 (talk) 23:55, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- Buzzfeed.com is not a reputable source? It's used for the news. I am going to be adding back in the controversy. She was supporting Chick-Fil-A. Saying she was supporting "free speech" is a cop out. There was no hampering on Chick-Fil-A's free speech. She's a fundamentalist Christian. She doesn't believe in gay equality. The tweet lead to a feud with other actors in the media. It was doubly controversial due to the fact that her show was dealing with a much publicized gay storyline, and promoting anti-bullying against gays and lesbians. Remember, we don't put in our assessment of who or what she was supporting. We merely lay out the facts, what happened in the media, and let people decide for themselves. It did hurt her career, so it is noteworthy. Her having an affair is tabloid fodder. Partyclams (talk) 18:37, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
No,you will NOT be adding it back into controversy. Again Buzzfeed is NOT a reputable source. Reputable sources are CNN, Foxnews,ABC, New York Times etc. You also say- Remember, we don't put in our assessment of who or what she was supporting. You need to follow your own advice then. You say she is a fundamentalist Christian, she doesn't believe in gay equality. There was NOTHING in her Tweet saying she is a Fundamentalist Christian etc. that is your opinion,so it is not a fact. And also if she is so anti gay, why is she starring on a tv soap opera with a major gay storyline? She could pay to get out of her contract if she were so bothered about being involved in a show with a gay storyline. No you will not be adding anything defamatory back in the article. I will have the article locked if you do, because BLP's have a strict guideline to follow.--BeckiGreen (talk) 19:28, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- I can add anything I wish as long as I source it. I don't appreciate your tone, BeckiGreen. Buzzfeed is a reputable source, no matter how many times you wish to profess the contrary. Secondly, there was more than just her tweet in this story. The entire event played out in the media between her and two other actors. Lastly, you sent me a message claiming that you reverted my contribution to her article, and that you would file a report if I added it back again. I never published anything to Melissa Reeves' page. Either get your facts straight, or don't bother messing with Wikipedia, and certainly don't go wasting my time. Thanks. Partyclams (talk) 05:42, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
It does not matter because the Tweet has been taken down. Buzzfeed, for the last time is NOT a reputable source.--BeckiGreen (talk) 20:05, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
