I believe that the sources indicate that she made premiere recordings of some songs by Ethel Smyth - but that is not the same as saying that she was the "first to record songs by Ethel Smyth". There may have been recordings of other songs by Smyth before 1993 and the sources quoted do no rule that out. Same may apply to Boulanger. Perhaps a wording would be better that clarifies that not "songs ever" are meant but "the specific songs she recorded". Suggestions welcome, best for Errors, because only an admin could change. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:26, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
