Name of show

[edit]

Why has it been changed to "Megan wants a Millionare"? The only source I can find that uses that name for the show is Scandalist, which is definately not a reliable source because it is a gossip website. I am reverting it to Trophy Wife, because that's the name used for the casting call. 76.20.70.23 (talk) 05:36, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the purpose of signing each others posts. Are you familiar with WP policy on sockpuppets? Plastikspork (talk) 18:37, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry no need to bring out the fancy webpages, I just forgot to log in. Andrew097 (talk) 05:43, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
VH1 official statement clearly shows the name 'Megan Wants a Millionaire' and not 'Trophy Wife' in their listening of shows. Ive moved pages to show the change. Jamesbuc (talk) 21:15, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Donald Farmer was born May 2, 1958, making him 51. Not 50 so people please stop changing it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kyleblomberg (talkcontribs) 00:30, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The ages are not at the time of airing, but at the time of filming, and the VH1 website says 50. Thanks! Plastikspork (talk) 00:38, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

VH1 removing MWAM stuff from site

[edit]

So far it looks like VH1 is literally deleting everything MWAM from their site, including the actual page itself. The only thing left is the forum & even then anything regarding Jenkins is being deleted. Many of the other posts on the forum are getting erased, so I'm thinking that VH1 will eventually delete everything on there or replace it with something else. To be honest, this makes me want to watch the show even more... Tokyogirl79 (talk) 15:59, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Tokyogirl79[reply]

Thats stupid that they're trying to hide everything... everyone knows now. I also noticed that they replaced the 11 AM show... does that mean that its cancelled now? Plus the forum is gone. 69.226.188.65 (talk) 18:07, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree- it is incredibly stupid. They just deleted the forum from the site & now there's no trace of the show on the website unless you really really look for it & even then the links don't connect to anything. They're still deleting any posts on any of the other forums about the murder- it doesn't matter where it's posted, so I think that VH1 is trying to cover their butts on this. Move controversey to it's own page?

[edit]

The murder investigation is heating up, so should the whole thing be moved to an individual page? This story has gained quite a bit of publicity & is extremely notable for being the first reality show murder. (At least the first one that's for a dating show that I'm aware of.) Tokyogirl79 (talk) 04:57, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Tokyogirl79[reply]

I've actually been surprised at the lack of vandalism related to the incident, but creating a page for the victim was probably not a bad idea. As far as being the first, there was Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?, but that guy was only under a restraining order for domestic violence. Arrest warrant now being sought. I added that info to the article. There's a press conference at 1pm PDT today. 173.49.135.190 (talk) 18:49, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I say just keep expanding the section here and on the Jasmine Fiore page. If it grows enough (which is certainly a possibility) then it will quickly become obvious that a split to a dedicated page is a good idea. Ryan Jenkins being arrested and put on trial ought to justify a page being created for him at least, and will very likely require a dedicated page to be created (Ryan Jenkins trial?).

Ryan Jenkins as Finalist

[edit]

TMZ reported that Ryan was the show's runner up. Should that be noted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris4z01 (talkcontribs) 22:15, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changing of redirect

[edit]

I'm going to be changing the MWAM redirect to point to the Man With A Mission article, as sources and the subject directly use that acronym in that article, while this one doesn't appear to. If sources can be found that show that MWAM is used by sources as an acronym for this article, leave me a note and we can discuss how to fix it, probably with a disambiguation page. I'm also going to leave an about tag on the top of this article and Man With A Mission that point to each other. SilverserenC 19:07, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
