Ligtas COVID centers

[edit]

@Hariboneagle927: Are We Heal As One Centers and Ligtas COVID Centers the same thing? Because the first issue of the DOH's COVID-19 situationer on page 7, included We Heal As One Centers (mentioned on this article) but referred it to as Ligtas COVID Centers/Facilities. —hueman1 (talk contributions) 05:14, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@HueMan: as per my understanding We Heal As One Centers seems to be a subset of Ligtas COVID Centers. From here and here. Im trying to access the DOH's guidelines here on Ligtas COVID Centers, but to no avail. We Heal As One Centers seems to facilities converted under the initiative of the DWPH.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 08:17, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Move to "Ligtas COVID Centers" instead?

[edit]

Are "Mega Ligtas COVID Centers" and "Ligtas COVID Centers" synonymous now? Because if not, then a "Mega Ligtas COVID Center" must be a subset of the more general "Ligtas COVID Center".—hueman1 (talk contributions) 15:31, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@HueMan1: As per the Presidential Penultimate Report, the Mega Ligtas COVID Centers are manged by the national government while Ligtas COVID Centers are " community-managed" and are operated by LGUs. The "Mega" qualifier is misleading suggesting that these facilities must meet a certain bed-capacity to be considered as such but a 28-bed presidential yatch apparently is a Mega Ligtas COVID Center. So reports, especially by government sources consider them as separate type of isolation/quarantine facilities.
Considering renaming either renaming this article to "Quarantine facilities in the Philippines during the COVID-19 pandemic" (not "Ligtas COVID Center", considering the technicalities) or create a new article under that name discussing both Mega Ligtas COVID Centers and Ligtas COVID Centers retaining this article where more-indepth coverage of Mega Ligtas COVID Centers would go.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:23, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Both are mentioned by the DOH-DILG JAO as types of Community Isolation Unit (CIU), while Mega Ligtas COVID Centers as "larger scale" version of the LIGTAS Centers managed by the national government. Mega does indeed suggest "larger scale" but given the example of the BRP Ang Pangulo being a Mega Ligtas Covid Center, its established that MLCCs are not necessarily large scale in practice.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:35, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hariboneagle927: Thank you for clarifying it here (to me) and on the article itself. I haven't seen articles about quarantine facilities on other countries yet. Are there any? If you're planning to make one (for the Philippines), I'll be very much willing to help. Other than that, I think the article is pretty much good in its current state. —hueman1 (talk contributions) 14:18, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
