[edit]Please stop See, for instance, Meet The Beatles. "The" is capitalized as a part of the proper name. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 00:45, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- The difference is that the band in your example is called "The Beatles", while the band in question is simply called Eels. Thus, "The Beatles" should generally be capitalized in titles referring to the band, while "the Eels" should not. — Twas Now ( talk • contribs • e-mail ) 01:17, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- Names Sometimes - for example, this album - the band is billed as "The Eels." When they are, that is a part of their name. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 01:47, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Requested edit
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
I am under a WP:0RR and have requested another editor revert himself, but he has refused. Per MOS:VAR, MOS:RETAIN, and WP:ALBUMSTYLE, this article should have its previous track listing style restored. Please edit this article to undo the addition of {{track listing}}. See this thread. @Fischbol: who introduced this issue and refused to address it and furthermore claims that I need to get consensus for the article to be the way it was for almost 20 years instead of him needing consensus to change it (See MOS:VAR: "When either of two styles is acceptable it is inappropriate for a Wikipedia editor to change from one style to another unless there is some substantial reason for the change.", WP:BRD, etc.). @Cowboygilbert: who was willing to make similar edits on a previous request. ―Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 20:29, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Koavf, I can try to make reason with the editors in both requests but no guarantees on it because WP:IAR. Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 22:13, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

- Ah, okay. I am not very familiar with this MOS guideline unlike I am with CITEVAR. I'll try my best. Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 22:16, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
