Image change

[edit]

Hello. I changed the image of Uffizi Medusa in the article to match with the current view of the work after the restoration. The painting now is more colorful, especially in the green area. I saw the Medusa in 2015 at Uffizi Gallery, and this image is the closest to eye view. Also, it's the current image used in the list of Caravaggio paintings (Wiki article). The original image was too old and reflected the painting situation until the 90's. I am planning to improve the present article in the next days. As a Caravaggio amateur researcher, i have enough material to write, especially about the provenience and the correct dates. I think the two versions (Uffizi and the attributed Murtola) deserve their own sections in the article. Gcatharino (talk) 05:52, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I saw you're a new user but it looks like you're making some awesome Caravaggio edits. Muito obrigado! - - mathmitch7 (talk/contribs) 19:34, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Irrelevant information in 'History' section

[edit]

I'm unsure why the "History" section contains so much information about Caravaggio's possible criminal exploits and the other works he produced during this time. I would have deleted it, but I'm not sure if it should be repurposed. (Is it worth adding to the article on Caravaggio?) CRYPTNYMPH (talk) 01:38, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
