Mediocre Translation
[edit]The current article was translated from http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89tudes_de_m%C3%A9decine_en_France#cite_note-0 using Yahoo! Babelfish. As you can see, the translated text is quite muddled. Nevertheless, this is a topic of great interest and definitely needs more work. mezzaninelounge (talk) 22:38, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please look at the following: Category:Medical_education_by_country; as you can see, it is a category that mainly contains other categories. There is no need to put an article in a child and parent category. This article is in Category:Medical_education_in_France, which is itself already in Category:Medical_education_by_country. There is no need for this dual categorization of the article thus. --KarlB (talk) 21:21, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- I think you are missing my point. I think readers would like to click on links that allow them to compare medical education from different countries. That box serves more than just a categorization tool. It also serves to help readers find information more readily. Could you at least propose an alternative solution that addresses this issue rather than just enforcing this rule? danielkueh (talk) 14:48, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ah ok, I understand your point. That is best dealt with in the article, not as a category. You could put something in the 'see also' section for example, like a link to the Category:Medical education by country category. Its the same reason why you don't add this article to Category:Health or Category:Health in France or Category:Medicine or any other articles which may be of interest; a link is better in the see also section; the category should be reserved for "this article is a ...". --KarlB (talk) 14:55, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Right, I think the "See Also" might just work. I was hoping to avoid putting a laundry list of all the different countries. Nevertheless, it seems to the best solution so far. I will try to explore it. Thanks. danielkueh (talk) 15:01, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
