This article appears to be conflating two separate schemes, the Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship (MRBS) and the Bonded Medical Places Scheme (BMP)? Either way the article is a bit of a disaster. It needs a clean up and attention to neutral point of view. - Nephosp 02:41, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did not get that impression, it is merely by neccisity that some of the material includes BMP. (beside breaching them has the same outcome) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.30.84.64 (talk) 05:30, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

cleanup

[edit]

I gave it a little bit of a cleanup to make it a little less POV. It is still rather negative towards the scheme but at least now it makes sense. I've left the cleanup tag because it needs proper citing and everything and I can't be bothered. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.71.236 (talk) 04:38, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Balancing act

[edit]

Firstly, I am currently part of the scheme that this article refers to and I was pretty shocked by what I just read. I went into the scheme after reading everything I could about it, consulting a lawyer and deliberating over the contract that I was sent. The number of factual errors regarding the scheme in this article is astonishing and I have definitely put this article on my list to fix. The best information on the scheme comes from DOHA, where they have sample contracts available to read. I will have to think about how to edit/rewrite this article. I think I will place some of the original authors comments under the section titled "Critiscism" and attempt to keep the rest of the information as factual as possible. Unfortunately, some of this info is impossible to reference (i.e. the order that medical schools attribute places in) because they don't publish it. Instead, it is through personal experience, online medical student forums and connections with the institutions that this information becomes known.
