Title
[edit]I merged into this article not because I think this is the better title but because the bulk of the content was here and so merging to here preserved more history and was easier for me to do. The article needs to be renamed. --Kvng (talk) 16:27, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Mergers have created a mess
[edit]These mergers were apparently performed in ignorance of the distinction between the Megaco protocol and the MGCP protocol and the overall architecture common to both. These are specific and non-interoperable implementations of the concept, that now seems attempted to be described in the Media Gateway Control Protocol architecture. These mergers should be reversed and the distinction emphasized. The articles now also contain much copy-pasted material from copyrighted manufacturers sources, rather than original prose. Indefinite article
[edit]See Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User: 109.77.xx.xx and the indefinite article and Talk:XMPP#Please discuss changes to the indefinite article. Andrewa (talk) 15:12, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
