[edit]The City of Meadows Place is famous locally as a speed trap and you can count on being pulled over if there is even the most minor infraction you have violated, so you will want to ensure that you drive with the utmost caution. Do not change lanes without signalling, do not cut through gas stations to avoid red lights, and do not go even one mile over the speed limit. When you come to stop signs, you'll notice that everyone comes to a full and complete stop before pushing on; you should do the same. Ensure your inspection and registration stickers are up to date, there are no cracks in your windshields, you have your lights on at night but not your high beams, all of your lights are working and in general that your vehicle and driving present absolutely no excuse whatsoever for you to be pulled over, because if you are you WILL pay a fine.
Personally, I drive around Meadows Place if at all possible. The waste of time and gas is small compared to the hassle of being pulled over.
But, it is a great place to live! Affordable and family friendly. And you can still get into town easily.
According to FBI statistics, Meadows Place is the safest city in Fort Bend County to live. They have their own police department. Location is outstanding just off 59 & the Beltway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.240.184.253 (talk) 23:52, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- In order to say it is locally known as a speed trap, one has to have a reliable source stating so. WhisperToMe (talk) 21:49, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
It is true, this city is a total speed trap, and that is coming from one of the residents. I am also not looking forward to the installation of roundabouts, which will probably just result in even more tickets. Really, it just seems like we should have better things to spend money on rather than changing stop signs and building lakes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.96.45.104 (talk) 03:43, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
