Bosnian Muslim

Reverting nonsense that appears to stem from blatant nationalism. Of course "Bosnian Muslim" and "Muslim from Bosnia" is one and the same.

Leaving aside the insult, "Bosnian Muslim" redirects to "Bosniak", which is the name of an ethnic group. A Bosniak is not necessarily Muslim, and a Muslim from Bosnia is not necessarily a Bosniak. Ethnicity != religion. Also, Selimović was a Serbian author by culture, not by dint of living in Belgrade. His being a Serbian author is unrelated to whether or not he ever stepped foot in the Republic of Serbia, hence the change in where that link goes.--Jednokratno79 (talk) 15:29, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

Selimović is Serbian by having lived and worked in Serbia. To state that being Serbian is unrelated to Serbia is quite bizarre. Samuel Beckett is an Irish author, not French "by culture". Finally, according to Wikipedia guidelines, "ethnicity, religion, or sexuality should generally not be in the lead", hence revert of your edit defining Selimović as a Serb. I'm not going to edit this as it stands, but I just wanted to respond to this. As I wrote above, Serbian culture is not geographically tied in its essence to Serbia. Serbian culture has a long history outside of Serbia, and indeed before modern Serbia came into existence. Cultural categories often do not overlap with state boundaries. As for Beckett, it seems obvious that his works in French are a part of French culture - which doesn't make him any less Irish.
