Which image is east and which is west?
[edit]Currently, both photos are labeled "Looking east at Mazomanie." Is one of them supposed to be west? Which is which? --Ben Kovitz 20:32, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- Both images are labeled properly. I took both of them ,and both are looking east. I live around 4 hours of driving away from the place, so I am only vaguely familiar with the city. I passed through the city one day on vacation. I drove through the city from west towards the east and took 2 images within a single minute of each other according to the metadata. The Mobil sign that is prominent on the second image is barely visible on the first image. If you think that 2 images facing the same direction in the same small city is overload, then remove the #2 image from the article. Royalbroil 20:39, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Etymology of name Mazomanie
[edit]The History section of this article really overdoes it on the etymology of the name Mazomanie. It's long, technical, and convoluted. It would be better, and more interesting reading, if it were pared down to 2-3 sentences. I suspect the section was also plagiarized from some offline source. 70.134.226.3 (talk) 17:08, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
- Sort of agree with the above, except for the plagiarism accusation, but bombing the section with 4 tags is not the answer. Just talk here and edit. Smallbones(smalltalk) 21:56, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
