Please remove, "also known as Persian Pink Panther." Maz himself has tried changing this and it hasn't been changed. Please take the last five minutes of this podcast interview of Maz as proof Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page). https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/about-last-night/id518082771?mt=2&i=348644445 Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page). 24.185.104.154 (talk) 15:34, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Just because he does not agree with this name does not mean he is not called it by others - the 3 sources cited explicitly refer to him as this Cannolis (talk) 16:21, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a revert war going on, instigated by the subject of this article or his associates. This is not acceptable. As far as being referred to as "the Persian Pink Panther", it is true that Maz Jobrani initially described a character he played using that phrase. But it seems to have caught on, earning him the nickname. See for example http://www.goldstar.com/events/brea-ca/maz-jobrani — although it also seems to be the case that most (not all) of the sources that claim it's his nickname aren't what Wikipedia would consider reliable (like IMDB). It is possible that the reliable sources might be picking up on the unreliable ones. ~Amatulić (talk) 06:49, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

the movie decendants have aired and as such is no longer upcoming.

Greetings all! This is a request made directly from comedian Maz Jobrani. Unfortunately no one on his team has an established user account on the wonderful wikipedia so I come to you all for help. Maz would like the "Persian Pink Panther" "nickname" as suggested by wikipedia to be either removed or amended to reflect what it actually is. His wiki starts out with:

"Maziyar “Maz” Jobrani (Persian: مازیار جبرانی‎‎; born February 26, 1972), also known as Persian Pink Panther,[1][2][3] is an Iranian-American comedian...."

If we can have that Persian Pink Panther removed completely that would be awesome. He said if someone wants to include it somewhere on his page it would be most applicable to Jimmy Vestvood, the character he made up for his movie Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero. Below is the exact email Maz sent:

"Thanks guys. The Persian pink panther was used in reference to Jimmy Vestvood. So if they want to have a line in there it could say, in 2016 he released Jimmy Vestvood; Amerikan Hero, a film he co-wrote with Amir Ohebsion and starred in which is best described as the Persian Pink Panther."

Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to email or call me at:

Not done: The sources in the reference refer to Maz Jobrani as the Pink Panther. Wikipedia relies on verifiable and reliable sources. Sir Joseph (talk) 15:44, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Maz Jobrani is not a board member of NIAC and the referenced page doesn’t list him as a current board member

[edit]

The Wikipedia page lists Mr. Jobrani as a NIAC board member stating, “He is also currently a board member of the National Iranian American Council.”(NIAC).[1]

However follow up on the reference reveals that Mr. Jobrani is NOT listed as a member of NIAC board. Winner1313 (talk) 21:26, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
