The Letteris Bible

[edit]

Letteris in 1852 produced an edition of the Hebrew Bible, which was reprinted (perhaps with revisions?) in 1866 and subsequently by the British & Foreign Bible Society -- this is by far his most ubiquitous work, still in daily use around the world even if the users do not know his name. This work, and the characteristics of his edition, are not mentioned here, and they ought to be. Sussmanbern (talk) 15:14, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have added this information based on the Hebrew and German Wikipedia articles, and also uploaded some scans of his Bibles to the Wikimedia Commons. Dovi (talk) 16:32, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
