This article is quite incomplete. When was he born? What about his early life and personal life? This makes a bio interesting. This in its curent form looks as though Max wrote it himself — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.93.83.204 (talk) 21:26, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed he has always been cagey about his age and early life, hinting that he was a Jewish refugee from the Nazis invading his eastern European homeland and that Cryer is an anglicised form of his real surname, but a producer of his shows says he in fact grew up in Pukekohe, and is not Jewish --Hugh7 (talk) 20:27, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
