[edit]I think it souldd be Walshe not Walsh —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.74.16.72 (talk) 15:32, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
The hyperlink to Slainte did not work on 17th May so I deleted it. As to the spelling of Walsh, the surname of the Irish author is always shown as Walsh on his books (and in the credits of The Quiet Man movie) Piers1943 (talk) 15:03, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
When making the changes to this article yesterday (November 26, 2008) I wrongly thought I was logged in and so do not appear correctly in the History section for the article. The IP address shown there instead of my user name is no longer applicable but comments on the changes will be welcome in this section Piers1943 (talk) 12:49, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
The bibliography does not include the mystery NINE STRINGS TO YOUR BOW, published by Lippincott in 1945 and included in the Unicorn Mystery Book Club Volume of November, 1945 (#3). (I do not cite a source since I used my own copy of the book as one.) It is possible that this was published under another name, but no such mention appears on the book, and the UMBC was generally good on this. 108.14.94.117 (talk) 20:00, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Prup (aka Jim Benton)
Hugh Forbes does appear, albeit briefly in The Quiet Man,towards the end of chapter iv (page 179 in my copy) as visiting Paddy Bawn after his marriage along with Sean Glynn: He tells his wife, Frances Mary, that 'The next one will be a red-head, if God spares me.'
