The result of the move request was: page moved. Apparently uncontroversial. Malcolmxl5 (talk) 01:04, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Maurice Hurley (screenwriter)Maurice Hurley – Only person with this name with an article. The other guy on the DAB page is Hurly with no E (and he doesn't have an article). Similar to the recent move at Talk:Charles Fredericks. Nohomersryan (talk) 17:19, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Support If there's nothing occupying that spot and no DAB needed then there's no reason not to. Miyagawa (talk) 17:34, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion in Category:Star Trek: The Next Generation

[edit]

The article is currently in Category:Star Trek: The Next Generation, but I have doubts as to whether it should be. I am aware that Maurice Hurley as head writer showrunner at the start of Star Trek: The Next Generation was hugely instrumental in its development and the creation of some of its key concepts. However apparent from one other example - the article on the writer Melinda M. Snodgrass whose inclusion I have similar concerns about - no other member of the creative team behind the series has their article included in this category including key figures like Rick Berman, Michael Piller and Ronald D. Moore. Even Gene Roddenberry's article is not in any Star Trek categories and other Science Fiction TV franchise categories like Category:Battlestar Galactica tend not to include production personnel (although Category:Babylon 5 does include the article of its creator J. Michael Straczynski. There thus seems to be a precedent that such articles are not included in this type of category and I am not sure that this should be an exception.
