[edit]This entry contradicts itself. It states Halsbwachs was executed by the Nazis and then says he died of dissentry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.78.91.195 (talk) 10:26, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
According to "Jorge Semprun: Schreiben oder Leben (Frankfurt: Suhrkamp, 1995), pp. 28 ff. (First edition: L'écriture ou la vie, Paris: Gallimard, 1994)," he died of dysentery. I don't know how to add a note. I don't have the book.

I just edited the bit about M.H. dying in the arms of J.Semprun. Semprun's account contradicts itself in the several books he has written on the subject and is nearly certainly hyperbolic, and possibly altogether made up. The Halbwachs family, to my knowledge, is not impressed by Semprun's testimony. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Toche (talk • contribs) 22:24, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
I was looking at the section where his son is brought up but there is a dead link to it, is there any information associated with Pierre Maurice? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emilek12345 (talk • contribs) 00:07, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
