Like to see some input on the great Walleye fishing in the Maumee.

Someone put all that info in Articles for Creation, so I'm just going to merge it in. Hwonder talk contribs 17:41, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

River naming

[edit]

I remember when I was a kid growing up in Toledo during the early 1980's, it was told that no one could decide on a name for the river. They grabbed a kid and demanded that he name the river or they'd throw him in. He refused, so they threw him in and he yelled "Mommy! Mommy!". They pulled him out and that's why they call the River "Maumee".

It's all a bunch of kid story, but there you go.--Pittsburghmuggle (talk) 01:37, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
