There are also a small number of Maud island frogs at Karori Wildlife sanctuary which is located 3km outside of Wellington city centre. For more info goto www.sanctuary.org.nz/whatsnew/stories/MaudIslandFrogsFeb2006.html Darth russ (talk) 05:44, 26 February 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Someone might want to check - the New Zealand Herald article 29 feb 2008 headed "Tiny Maud Island frogs make place in history" by Angela Gregory. It says 60 Maud Island frogs were released into a mouse proof enclosure in 2006 (Karori sactuary). This may or may not be correct. Carpenter0 (talk) 20:19, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it needs to be clarified whether the original release was in a separate mouse-proof enclosure, & the second release was in the general sanctuary (which may not yet be guaranteed to be mouse-free). If this is so, then maybe the article wording could be changed to explain this. Just a suggestion. GrahamBould (talk) 06:54, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
