January 2020: Not notable
[edit]This is an article about a run-of-the-mill academic, not a leader in a field. Wikipedia needs to continue the work of making itself relevant by not hosting information on just about anyone.--Quisqualis (talk) 06:04, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
- He clearly meets WP:AUTHOR (many published reviews of his books), WP:PROF#C1 (many academic citations of his books as counted e.g. by Google Scholar), and WP:PROF#C3 (membership in an exclusive academic society for which this is a high honor, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences). He also has a plausible case for WP:PROF#C5 (named long-term visiting professorship) and WP:PROF#C8 (co-editor-in-chief of notable journal). —David Eppstein (talk) 20:57, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
