[edit]

I just watched an "E True Hollywood Story" about the Rascals. In it, they said that Stymie's death occurred in the following way: he had a stroke, fell and hit his head, was found by a relative who came visiting and shortly thereafter lapsed into a coma. He then contracted pneumonia and died. Supposedly, his last words were "fun, fun, fun".—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.199.52.237 (talk) 19:06, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Matthew Beard (American actor)Stymie Beard – per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:STAGENAME. The only performer who has used Matthew Beard as a stage name has been Matthew Beard (English actor). The subject of this article was not known to the public by his birth name nor was he ever credited as simply "Matthew Beard". The American Film Institute Catalog lists him as Stymie Beard and all other film reference resources list him either as Stymie Beard or as Matthew "Stymie" Beard, per IMDb. If consensus skews towards using the full name form — Matthew "Stymie" Beard — as this article's main title header, I would also support such a move. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 22:41, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
