Sexual orientation categories
[edit]Why is it necessary to know Mr. Dallas' full sexual orientation? Isn't his privacy more important than guidelines? So, if he only extends the news he's engaged to a man, surely it means he's established himself gay and he needs no more prodding. RAP (talk) 15:56 17 January 2013 (UTC)

- As is explained in that discussion, but repeated here for convenience, the point is that he could also be bisexual, pansexual, queer, or some other identification that doesn't preclude his engagement to a man; he isn't necessarily gay, and we can't specifically say that he is gay unless and until there is a reliable source for the fact that he, himself, identifies as "gay." --DavidK93 (talk) 01:05, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- Certainly since any of these discussions, at the very least, the “debate” has become moot. Dallas explicitly identifies now as gay—not bisexual, pansexual, or anything else. See the YouTube channel he shares with his husband, specifically the episode called “Coming Out.” Antinoos69 (talk) 05:00, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
