Certifications

[edit]

The ever debated platinum status! Music Week (a reliable source) reported the sales of Letters at 270,000 over a year ago, certification is based on shipments not sales, and given that it was first reported the album had gone platinum in January 2012 it has almost certainly surpassed the 300,000 mark.

BPI is NOT always accurate and up to date, and a label member has to request it to be added which could be the reason it's not there (although Letters is listed as Gold so it could at least be on this page as that rather than removing it altogether). They have recently changed it so certifications will be added automatically but how far back and how much has been corrected since this change I'm not sure.

As for The Fire, I have added a picture of the framed certifcation presented by BPI, posted online by someone from So Recordings, surely this is reliable enough! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carfoil (talkcontribs) 21:38, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No BPI is the only reliable source BPI has recently updated their website to automatically add certifications once the album/single crosses the needed sales to be certified and when searched Letters is gold and The Fire is Silver so please leave this, pictures etc could easily be photoshopped so for the last time BPI IS THE ONLY RELIABLE SOURCE now leave this --Onlythetruthisappropriate (talk) 12:45, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
