Feels like spending three years as a Mormon missionary should be a bigger deal

Rather than using a direct quote for the one word standout, something along the lines of "His performance during spring practice impressed local media" (if you can get a coach quote, even better)

His major can go in the personal life section. Done
He also played college baseball for the BYU Cougars baseball team in 2017 but only appeared in one game, striking out as a pinch hitter in his only at-bat and then spending time in the outfield. This sentence can probably be broken into two and given more detail (e.g. what outfield position?) Done

Professional career

Would include a brief paragraph of his pre-draft - he was one of how many BYU players invited? Did he talk to any teams? Did he expect to be drafted?

it was reported that Bushman per source, Bushman reported this himself on a podcast. Change wording so it doesn't sound like hearsay from a third party Done

Instead of linking to the sport volleyball, link "BYU volleyball" to BYU Cougars women's volleyball Done
Also, presumably she is not still in college and is thus a former BYU volleyball player Done

While the sources used for player movement (sign/release/practice squad/active roster) are reliable, they are a little dry. I'd like a little more of the whys if they can be found - why did the Raiders take him? Why was he released when he was? If you can't find those, no big deal, but that would elevate the article for me.
