New page

[edit]

This article has been created by splitting the "Abitur in Finland" section from the Abitur article, following a discussion posted there some time ago. The content here, apart from some adjustment to the Introduction, is derived entirely from that article, and (for attribution purposes) that article's edit history should be consulted. Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because it is a section split from a long-standing article (see above). The website referred to, entitled "Abitur in Finland" is more likely to be a mirror of the WP article. I cannot see a date listed on the webpage mentioned, but the "Abitur in Finland" section in the Abitur article had been there at least since December 2005 (though not in this final form). PS: The Abitur in Finland section at Abitur was substantially in that form by January 2008; a comparison between that version and yesterday's shows some changes (sectioning, some wording in "Scoring", a "Compensation system" heading) which suggest the examsavvy page was derived from the WP article and not the other way round. Does that resolve the issue? Moonraker12 (talk) 12:32, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agreed, no copyright violation that I can see. The article that the Bot flagged was dated Oct 2010. That content matches the state of the Abitur article's Finland section at the beginning of October 2010, so is clearly a mirror of the Wikipedia article. Also thanks to Moonraker12 for the above section which properly attributes the fork. You might be surprised how few do that! CrowCaw 01:09, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
