Old school math for Pipefitter

[edit]

Ark length. When using the formula DxRx .01745 give you the measure to cut a 90 degree fitting to what ever degree you desire Babb7981956 (talk) 08:21, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Another way is to measure the back and front side divide by 90 this will give increments such as 3/4 of a inch or maybe 1.128 depends on the size of the fitting being used. This will work on standard radius fitting Babb7981956 (talk) 08:24, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

45 degree fitting what is the take off for a standard radius 45 %degree you can say .625 x the diameter of the prior size Another was is to divide 3 times and add your last number to he second number 10/5/2-1/2 , 1-1/4 5+ 1-1/4 = 6 1/4 inches or 6.250 Babb7981956 (talk) 08:32, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
