Hi, there, @Onel5969:
I just now removed your deletion template. I understand your confusion, and as a student majoring in materials/chemistry and an infrequent reader of multiple academic journals, I can tell you for sure that, MRS is a pretty good academic society that deserves an article just like APS and ACS. As for the screwed "materials science society" ("mss") page, I right now check Special:WhatLinksHere/Materials Research Society and we can see that only a few links are via "mss". I paste the text here:

...
  • Materials science society (redirect page) ‎ (links | edit)
    • Funding of science ‎ (links | edit)
    • User:DumbBOT/ProdSummary ‎ (links | edit)
    • Materials research societies (redirect page) ‎ (links | edit)
      • History of materials science ‎ (links | edit)
      • Rustum Roy ‎ (links | edit)
...

These links should be all removed if necessary; or redirect to somewhere like "list of nanotechnology organizations" (hopefully utilizing some texts in special:diff/767730038 of "mss"). The old "mss" should in principle be deleted but I'm bit afraid that people will not see the page history. Let me know if there's any further proceedings. -- SzMithrandirEred Luin 07:10, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No Worries SzMithrandir - That's why I worded the template the way I did. Wasn't sure which page was the true subject, and this article when I looked at, was very poorly sourced. Thanks for clearing it up, along with Diannaa and Randykitty. Onel5969 TT me 11:01, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
