I do not believe this article should be deleted. It is covering a topic in Evolutionary Biology called Mate Choice Copying, which is similar to Mate Choice but not entirely the same. I had trouble figuring out how to properly link it to the Mate Choice Page or the Sexual Selection page. Perhaps someone can help me with this. DW1711 (talk) 22:40, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- I tend to agree, I've tried to bring it more in line with what a Wikipedia article is supposed to look like and I've added categories and external links that could be used to expand it. This seems an interesting and notable subject and I encourage you to continue working on it. Beeblebrox (talk) 23:49, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Updating the Article
[edit]Hello Wikipedians,
- I intend to improve this article as a part of my course assignment (to review the course page: Animal Behavior_Memorial University of Newfoundland). You can also refer to my sandbox Mate_choice_copying/Bibliography for a draft of the updated article. Some of the major changes I intend to apply to the article include:
- Writing a more concise lead
- Adding a mechanism section that explains visual copying as well as olfactory copying
- Replacing the "advantages" and "disadvantages" sections with a well-referenced "evolutionary benefits and costs" section
- Adding an "alternative hypothesis section"
- Adding images of some species that are known to display the behavior
- Cheers,
