I did not find any contemporary source that proves the occurrence of this event, and the source in the margin is a non-neutral Nusayri Alawite source that infers a message? Sent by an Ottoman soldier? To Sultan Selim I telling him about his implementation of the sultan’s orders to kill the Nusayris? and the letter is located in the University of Strasbourg Library, Department of Arabic Manuscripts? Ok, what is her number so we can look for her? Add to that the huge amount of historical errors in the article, including that it says that the Ottomans fought the Hamdanid state in the 16th century AD??????? Also, the article gives a number of 40,000 victims and others take the number to 90,000? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.248.202.32 (talk) 09:03, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I also think the sourcing here is very thin. This source doesn't look reliable. If there were 10,000 killed, it would be mentioned in more sources? The Azeri article[1] looks to be a direct translation from this wikipedia article.VR (Please ping on reply) 14:57, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
