I had the privalidge of knowing Mary Rockwell Hook in her last two years. I was a young man of 26 and worked for her son in law in a Siesta Key business. She needed some some minor carpentor work done in her home and I was volunteered. She spent each afternoon listenening to library records for the blind as I worked on her porch outside her room. She would come out and ask me to describe what work I had completed and relay to her the details of the finished work. She was a critical boss but looking back to her vast experience I feel like I got away with little critisim for the work I have done. She was a great lady and I was the one that was enlightened by knowing her. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.113.1.203 (talk) 01:53, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Works of hers that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places are:

I haven't cross-checked yet, but I think not all of these are mentioned in the article yet. All would meet wikipedia notability standards for articles. --doncram 04:20, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • P.S. Nine of her works are covered in Sherry Piland and Elaine Ryder (June 29, 1983). "Residential Structures by Mary Rockwell Hook TR" (PDF). National Park Service.. --doncram 05:09, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
