Possible instance of plagiarism

[edit]

This article is fairly well written, incorporating the little information known about the species. I have some concern about the sentence "It inhabits flowing and well-oxygenated sections of streams..." found under the ecology section, as it seems to closely paraphrase a sentence found at http://www.edgeofexistence.org/species/mary-river-turtle/#:~:text=Habitat%20and%20Ecology,It%20has%20terrestrial%20nest%20sites. It does not seem the other information provided is close to plagiarism, however I would suggest reviewing the information in the sources again to ensure there is no sort of plagiarism. Year “discovered”?

[edit]

The start of the article indicates and being “formally discovered“ in the 90s, it later on the article mentions them being popular pets in the 1960s and 1970s. There should probably be some type of clarification on what is meant by “formally discovered“. 2601:40F:4001:83D0:7886:B602:A4A4:DE9B (talk) 19:13, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
