[edit]- If anybody can find her date of birth, please add it. Thanks. --Viticulturist99 (talk) 13:30, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- Why was an article created for this person, she fails WP:Politician? Is it for electoral promotional purposes? Snappy (talk) 19:57, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- No, she doesn't fail WP:Politician. Read it carefully: "members of the main citywide government or council of a major metropolitan city". She meets these criteria. If you want to delete articles about Dun Laoghaire councillors, who are electoral candidates, why not start with your personal favourite Richard Boyd Barrett? --Viticulturist99 (talk) 00:18, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- Totally fails WP:Politician - "Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage." - that means significant national coverage, not the Dun Laoghaire Herald (or whatever). She's no more notable than the rest of DLR council. I will ne nominating this article for deletion is she is not elected to the Dail. Snappy (talk) 08:31, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

- Notability established by adding reliable, secondary sources about the topic (see the recent edits). Mary Mitchell O'Connor, as the article notes, is frequently quoted in the media. I advise that you remove the template yourself. --Viticulturist99 (talk) 03:45, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- Adding cites - that is more appropriate. Comparisions with others can sometimes weaken. For example Victor Boyhan, the senior former PD is also a councillor & candidate, but he lacks an article. ClemMcGann (talk) 04:56, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- This person doesn't seem very notable, I have my doubts whether they would survive an AFD discussion, I have seen the majority of similar subjects deleted. Off2riorob (talk) 12:09, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- Seems to be notable, and may be elected to the Dail, which will increase her notability.--PoorCow (talk) 19:14, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- Looks like she has been elected (a recount is in progress), therefore imho she will fulfill WP:Politician ClemMcGann (talk) 09:28, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
