Copy-editing--Rewrite; 17 May 2010: for following reasons: 1) corrected the mixing of 'past' and 'present' tenses within article paragraphs; >>applied the 'present' tense--the norm for reporting a novel's story-line. 2) corrected for fact, spelling, punctuation and syntax; and revised for current English terminology (or for terms from-the-novel) as appropriate. 3) removed (internal) cites to novel; these aren't needed--which is the norm, except for an unusual issue calling for a cite to clarify. 4) word-smithing for improved readability.--Jbeans (talk) 10:04, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am in the process of rewriting this article as there are numerous issues. I will attempt to retain as much of the existing structure and material as possible out of respect for those who, some years ago, got it to this stage. Currently, it is still very uneven. I will comment here further when there is sufficient foundation for building a more robust article.Petrosbizar (talk) 23:21, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The article is now more balanced. It cites a reasonable number of reliable sources and deals with a number of critical issues raised by the novel in so far as they relate to Mary Crawford. I will continue its development in relation to the Mansfield Park group.Petrosbizar (talk) 14:37, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
