Notability
[edit]Not sure if she meets WP:PROF as a dean without a named chair (but a named deanship might apply?) Pinging DGG to see if she meets any of the other criteria I am less familiar with. TonyBallioni (talk) 22:05, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
- She unquestionably meets notability under WP:PROF as a Fellow of the AAAS. Unlike member, it's a high honor. And she has an honorary doctorate. We need to check for actual publications.
- The real problem with this article is that it is a press release, and I've warned the contributor. It can be recognized by the emphasis on administrative positions, the failure to list the published works which have made her notable, and the use of adjectives of praise. (" she became the Administrative Vice President and Dean at SUNY Stony Brook Southampton, an innovative college based at the former LIU Southampton College campus under the aegis of Stony Brook University, characterized by a talented, energized and interdisciplinary faculty, highly motivated students, and a set of majors and research programs focused on the grand challenge of sustainability" It will need rewriting. This is my field of interest, so I'll do it, mainly by stubbification. DGG ( talk ) 05:03, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
